This is America, folks. We believe in openness, fairness, opportunity, and vigorous debate.
I'm rolling up my sleeves and gettin' ready to type now. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me today.

(1,267 posts)I've been playing ignore-list-whack-a-mole this afternoon.
Thought the nastiness would stop once the primaries were over. Oh, how wrong I was.

(53,998 posts)you gotta look at the omelette and worry a little less about the shells.
We'll be okay. It's just a big noisy country full of idealists is all.

(1,353 posts)But this is all about respect...and these Bernie delegates are disrespecting at an unacceptable level...
No need to set us straight...
Bucky
(53,998 posts)Ain't easy setting everyone straight.
But I'm on the job and I'm wearing my best truth suit today. We're gonna be fine.

(18,402 posts)My position is that people can think whatever they want, but they need to know how to BEHAVE.
I don't need anyone to "set me straight" on that.

(51,129 posts)Good thing this is just a discussion group and it matters almost nothing what people say. Mostly, they are just convincing themselves.

(22,871 posts)democratic nominee. The fact that some are OK with that even if it means fucking fascist Trump for president makes me feel like throwing up.They are the left version of the fucking Tea Party and just as idiotic.

(53,998 posts)Yall've pulled it together for tonight. I'm off to watch me some teevee now.
But if you ever need to get your liberal roots restored again, just look up into the sky and cry "BUUCKEEEEEE!!" and I'll be there for ya.

(4,311 posts)They screamed at a civil rights icon as he talked about his father and his heritage, BLM and women's rights. They screamed at a female AA pastor as she said a PRAYER.
These are disgusting thugs. Bernie delegates on MSNBC saying they will not vote for Hillary, that she should be in prison, that they will vote for Trump. Bernie delegates chanting "LOCK HER UP". These are NOT DEMOCRATS. They're not in my party and I will never again have patience to listen to their ENDLESS COMPLAINTS about everything. But hey guess what, they're not going to be the ones hurt by a Trump presidency! They don't give a SHIT about AAs, Latinos, Muslims, LGBT, women, the working poor, the poor and homeless, or the disabled. They don't give a SHIT about anyone but themselves. They will gleefully watch as those groups I mentioned get ground under the boot of a Trump presidency. They are driven with blind incoherent, violent rage. They must be the most selfish people on earth.

(53,998 posts)Time will out the disruptors and time will bring around the truly concerned progressives who supported Bernie to supporting the ticket.
It just takes time is all. I promise you by Thursday we'll all feel better and more hopeful.
