The body language between the two tickets says it all.

From their respective 60 Minutes interviews:

Trump/Pence:

Clinton/Kaine:

Everything, from Trump's gold chair obsession to Pence seeming to subconsciously want to escape the room, tells you all you need to know. Style over substance vs. Substance over style.

He looks like he's thinking something like, "Why did I agree to this? I'm sitting in this stupid gold throne next to an orange-dyed megalomaniac in a bigger gold throne and I might as well be a department store mannequin because I'm not being allowed to say anything. Is it too late to get out of this deal?"

Mike Pence looks so awkward sitting on his gold throne.

also, is it just an optical illusion or is Pence's chair slightly shorter?

It definitely looks like it is 2-3 inches behind Trump's chair, though.

but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Trump arranged the chairs just so.

I bet he makes Pence walk at least 3 steps behind him at all times, too...

...and legs look pretty evenly lined up. That would be really pathetic if the chair were smaller. Pathetic, but not surprising.

And, I must add, those chairs, whether the same size or not, are really FUGLY!

Angled away and he's not sitting all the way in that hideous chair. Just those chairs alone and the Liberace piano in the back is all you need to define Trump.

Hillary/Tim are almost touching legs and both look so relaxed...awesome...
