Susan Sarandon doesn't seem eager to follow Bernie Sanders' lead in endorsing Hillary Clinton.
The actress and avid Sandernista fired off a series of disgruntled tweets Tuesday, mere hours after the Vermont senator expressed his solidarity with Clinton at the Democratic National Convention.
The "Dead Man Walking" star attended the DNC to see Sanders speak in person.

(12,504 posts)pretty sick of this line, when there are those actively working to hurt, damage and undermine Clinton's Candidacy. And spare me the fake outcry of it's all Clinton's fault.....because all they are doing is saying the Trump has no fault and deserves their vote more that Clinton has done in her life, to deserve their vote. And while we are at it, what the fuck has Jill Cline done, and can do as a Presidential Winner (as if that were likely :rolleyes to happen) to deserve any votes?

(50,299 posts)Not enough praise, I guess, for being one of those "Bitter, vindictive dead-enders who call themselves progressives but aren't voting for Hillary in November", to use the descriptor suggested by Skinner in this thread:

That descriptor fits her to a 'T', imo.

(18,252 posts)It's kinda sad. There aren't a lot of people. ("Not as full as expected," is how the CSPAN reporter is describing it.) One of the protesters told him that Hillary and Trump are exactly the same.
I remember hearing that about Bush and Gore in 2000. From Susan. Who went home to her NYC spread.
It must be nice to be able to give one of your many properties to one of your kids.

Bad optics from the DNC.

(44,116 posts)And recognize the destructiveness of the Bernie or Bust movement.
She doesn't speak for Bernie, she doesn't speak for 90 percent of Bernie primary supporters.
She speaks for a tiny minority who in my mind don't support the long game progressive movement that Senator Sanders represents.
JMHO and yr certainly entitled to yours as well.

(31,011 posts)Her and others like her need to grow the fuck up and move on to the next stage of the election. If her and others are so pissed that they can't get over the fact that there are winners and losers in elections, they need to go find a sandbox fit for spoiled toddlers.
They talk up at how much they trust their candidate, but when Bernie says it's time to get behind Hillary they stomp their feet still.
I'm not seeing any grownups among those who are throwing temper tantrums because their guy lost....
Well, Bernie is a grownup, thankfully.
