FAIL: North Carolina GOP Mocks Tim Kaine For Lapel Pin Honoring His U.S. Marine Son

FAIL: North Carolina GOP Mocks Tim Kaine For Lapel Pin Honoring His U.S. Marine Son
Democratic vice presidential candidate was wearing a Blue Star lapel pin.
07/28/2016 01:35 am ET Ed Mazza

Careful with that Twitter finger.

The North Carolina Republican Party, which boasts on Facebook of its “digital know how,” took to Twitter to call Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine “shameful” for wearing “a Honduras flag pin on his jacket but no American flag” during his speech on Wednesday night.

Just one problem: It wasn’t the flag of Honduras, but rather the symbol recognized by the Department of Defense for Blue Star Families ― the families of those who serve in the military.

Mindless stupid rage machines that vote against their own self interests.

I hope the few republicans left that can still form a coherent thought will vote for Hillary and help us save America from the Trump monster.

That the surrogates keep repeating it. Trump may even say it himself.

Facts don't matter. What you say, and how often you say it, are people will hear.

She is so brainwashed by right wing websites/Facebook/emails and refusal to look at Obama on TV that she will never be convinced he has ever worn a US flag pin- which he has for many years after that Vet gave him one. So I am sure she will now be ranting about Kaine being Un-American too. No amount of correction and truth telling ever seems to get through

She, like many right wingers I know who hate Dems and constantly stir up with their button-pushing irrational ranting, is an otherwise reasonably intelligent person with a beautiful home and yard and expensive cars who attends a conservative church.

It was the rare house where you didn't see that symbol in the window during WW2....and sometimes, you'd see the Gold Star as well, indicating a family member had died in the conflict.

Not surprising that a chickenhawk would not know this....

See in the republican world, it all works out in the end!

God bless america!
