Pennsylvania: First post-RNC polls shows Clinton maintaining +9% lead.

This is very good news. With the national polls get closer there is a fear that swing states will get closer. Nate Silver wrote about it this morning. Before this the last Penn poll was from 2 weeks ago. National polls normally show the race tightening first and state polling lags behind. But this is showing Pennsylvania looking more solidly blue.

Also Toomey is losing by 7%: Toomey 36, McGinty 43

All the poll panic is about to be over. The next few days good polls will start coming in and by mid next week Hillary will be back to being comfortably ahead.

Some posters started threads a couple weeks ago warning people not to freak out when Trump gets his RNC bump, but people freaked out none the less.

This week;s Dem Convention couldn't have gone much better, it's been the best convention for quality speeches I can remember. And it's been really well planned out to systematically make the case for Hillary and against Donald. Donald even helped out a lot with his asking Russia to commit crimes against the US comment, it was perfectly timed for the Dems considering who we had speaking last night.

they're pretty confident. The Philly wave will be difficult for the rural areas to overcome. Frankly, there a lot of votes out there that are actually not that solid behind Trump IMHO. If you look at the two conventions, basically the Repubs have conceded the upbeat side of the Patriot issue.

Penn's been blue in the Presidential for many years. I think it will stay that way.

With my vote helping it along!

And you know who we'll have to thank for that? POC. Hillary and Trump are basically tied with white voters in PA. But Hillary is winning AA voters by 90-something% to Trump's 0%. ZERO PERCENT.
