I think it should be clear by now that one cannot shame someone else into voting the way one wants.

It didn't work during the primaries, for supporters of neither of the candidates, and it won't work during the GE either.

For the last months, it looks a lot like various camps within the Democratic party have been taking turns at being condescending jerks. If there is a sure path towards a GE loss, it is that.

is people being fed up with having to coddle these tantrum throwing idjits. A small group of 'em, to be sure, but that's what they do. As a parent, I guarantee you I never coddled my kids when having tantrums. They learned that the behavior was unacceptable.

Anybody who doesn't by now know that a vote for Trump is insane evil and a vote for a third party is insidious enabling isn't being shamed with the intent of changing their vote. They are being shamed because they are shameful and thus deserve no less. It's not about convincing. It's about contumely.
