(1,728 posts)It's a wonderful day for all Americans, but especially for women. I am 81 years old and remember so many "slights," insults, discrimination and sexism, from many places -- my former husband, who considered me his chattel, even though I was more intelligent and talented than he; employers and prospective employers; fellow workers; and far too many others to list.
Hopefully, more than the political "glass ceiling" has been broken. Its may be too late for me to take advantage of it, but my granddaughters won't have to experience what I did.
And, I sobbed throughout Hillary's speech.
