While wed obviously wish the Debate Commission could find another night, we did not send a letter to Mr Trump, NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy tweeted Saturday in response to Politicos Alex Weprin and the Associated Press Mike Sisak.

(182,279 posts)He tried what we've seen in the campaign of just saying that he might be an NFL owner but that was it. Him just making Mouth words.
His owning a casino gave him a lifetime NO for NFL ownership.
There is a great "30 for 30" ESPN about the USFL. They were playing in the spring. Good ratings. They got 3 straight Heisman winners to sign with the USFL. Trump dominates the other owners and says Lets go head-to-head with the NFL in the fall. That was the end of the USFL. Football is now a 12 month sport - the USFL could have waited just a few years in the spring and waited for a merger. Trump screwed up the whole operation.
