So even before Trump took this weekend off from campaigning

MSNBC had reported that he was playing in smaller venues to smaller audiences (about 4000 that day). They were speculating about what this meant. My guess is that Trump is no longer filling the hangars and stadium size venues OR Trump is not bringing in the money via fundraisings and is unwilling to spend the amount needed to rent the larger venues. If he can no longer fill the large arenas it's probably because he's a one trick pony, and people are only willing to stand in line all day ONCE. After that, been there done that.

I think this ends badly for the Donald. Someone posted yesterday that the older sons were out fundraising for him. But I also read somewhere that the Donald was trying to meet with the Koch Bros but they refused to meet with him. It really couldn't happen to a nicer guy. NOT.

Is it too late for repubs to replace him? Liberal_in_LA Jul 2016 #1
Short of death, my guess would be yes. Besides his base is still in the tank for him. politicaljunkie41910 Jul 2016 #2
No, the establishment Republicans would draft Ryan or Jeb--or Kasich or Rubio--to head the ticket.nt tblue37 Jul 2016 #4

My guess is that the only face saving way out for Trump, should he start declining badly in the polls, would be to 'revisit' his doctor whom he got that original 'clean bill of health' from who suddenly says that Trump has a medical reason for which he has to stop campaigning for 'health reasons'. Of course this would be a BIG lie but his base wouldn't question it. (They haven't questioned anything up until now, so why would they now?) The Press would look at one another with 'eyes rolled' but would not question it publicly. So he'd drop out prior to the election and that would leave Pence elevated to the main show which he'd most likely would lose. Trump would claim that the loss was Pence's fault, that he was ahead in ALL the polls (a lie) up until the time when he experience 'health' issues and that would be 'the end of the story'.

....maybe Bob Dole, who started taking days off from campaigning.

On top of that, Trump is gonna waste his time in New York, where he can't win.

He's slowly losing his interest.
