Right wingers are saying that Trump has a right to attack the family of dead US Army captain Humayun Khan because they spoke out against Trump first.
That is a lie that needs to be dispelled every time someone says it.
Trump has been disparaging, threatening, and putting down American Muslims for a long time. This family finally responded to Trump's repeated attacks. After they responded, Trump doubled down on his previous attacks.
This family would have said nothing about Donald Trump if Trump hadn't spent the last year attacking their dead son.
