So I have been watching Face the Nation

The topic was debates. Manafort and Priebus made their case for "maximum exposure" to the candidates. They are pretending they dd not know when the debates were scheduled and that they were not notified. Makes them sound kind of uninvolved. They are clearly worried about losing the NFL audience.

At first I thought, Hell, no....the debates are set by a commission of both parties. While listening to their whining, I changed my mind. Trump is trying to weasel out of debating Clinton....so give in to them. Accommodate their requests. Make them squirm and whine and slither to try to get out of them.

It could be fun to watch and certainly nothing about the GOP has been fun so far.

but what does it say about our democracy that a sporting event impacts our democratic process. It is not like these are special events like a playoff or the Super Bowl. There are 16x16=256 games during the regular season.

Bread and circuses baby, bread and circuses.

and embarrassing to think that sporting events are that big of an impact.

I just want to watch Trump, Manafort and Preibus squirm and lie and try to find a way to get him out of debating.

If so the CPD needs to change the dates. A one or two day shift of the dates should be possible.

I would also state at that time that it is a sad commentary on the democracy that two our of 256 games impact the political schedule for the most powerful country in the world. We as a country should reassess our priorities.

Someone should ask him if he is going to suspend campaign events during sporting events.

If these games are so important then he should not be campaigning during them.

that Trump will look for any excuse not to debate Hillary. I remember John McCain using some crisis as a reason to cancel a debate he did not want to take part in.

This will be very interesting.

This is a dominance/power thing. He can't be allowed o win. Stein and Johnson in the debates would allow him to do what he did during the Repub primary debates......stay outside the fray while everyone else did the debating. They need to go one on one; she should stay quiet while he looses it, then look at the audience and ask if they truly think this is presidential behavior.

Just like he won't release his taxes. He knows he is far better off tweeting into the right wing echo chamber than facing a fierce opponent with all the facts and figures on her side.

The NFL sent a letter to trump because they were afraid the debates would pull eyes from the games. That's what Donald Dumbass claims.

Hey you tangerine twit...the NFL has contracts with broadcasters. They also have many garbage games near the end of the season that no one watches because the playoffs are set. Only an idiot would think they would worry about you hurting the ratings. But that's what you think we are anyway, right? You will see how wrong you come November. I hope that when you lose your base turns on you and burns all your shit to the ground

denied such a letter was sent.

Has anyone kept a list of all the lies he has told? Who would have the time?

Also, any new "name calling" examples? Benedict Donald is my current favorite....you know Pence thinks name calling is wrong.
