There is no proof that one causes or is even correlated to the other. Some smart people are rich, but I know many who are not. Trump is proof enough, if you needed any, that brain power is not needed to get and stay wealthy. If you are modestly wealthy, you can hire all the brain power you need.

If you start with a $1 million check, becoming rich gets fairly easy. Even the wealthy state that the first million is the hardest.
