Michael Moore falsely writes: "Trump is ahead of Hillary in the latest polls in Pennsylvania"

In an article entitled "5 REASONS WHY TRUMP WILL WIN," Michael Moore wrote that Donald Trump "is ahead of Hillary in the latest polls in Pennsylvania." http://michaelmoore.com/trumpwillwin/

The article is undated, but he wrote it around July 21st, judging by this other piece: http://www.alternet.org/election-2016/michael-moores-5-reasons-why-trump-will-win

It is not true that Trump is ahead of Hillary in the latest "polls", since only one outlier poll (Quinnipiac) had Trump ahead at the time Moore wrote that article.
Prior to Quinnipiac, 12 consecutive polls had Clinton either ahead (10 polls) or tied with Trump (2 polls).

It is possible that Moore simply wants Trump to win (So he can say "told you so&quot . http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/pa/pennsylvania_trump_vs_clinton-5633.html#polls

Anyway, Michael Moore needs to stop spreading falsehoods online.

Way to "Get Out The Vote" heh?

Michael Moore wants Trump to win so he can brag about having told us so.

Hillary is deemed trustworthy by only 30%-34% of the American population - thankfully Trump has the same problem.

So, how to overcome Hillary's seemingly baked-in negatives so that she is deemed trustworthy by a higher percentage of voters?

Rather than bashing Moore for pointing out the obvious and accusing him of wanting Trump to win (so he can brag?), perhaps figuring out how to tell Hillary's story so that people grasp that she is indeed electable and would make a good President would be a better use of your time.

While Moore says she's unelectable.

Speaking of better use of one's time... Stop making excuses for Moore and pretending he wants her to win. By the way, look around, several people agree with me in this thread regarding Moore wanting Trump to win.
Moore pooh poohed Clinton's good news earlier this year and continues to do so.

Your argument is in the minority due to its implausibility.

He couldn't predict the future when he wrote that. With 20/20 hindsight you could say the Quinnipiac was an outlier but 2 weeks ago we didn't know that. National polls were tightening. Is the whole point of this post to criticize Moore for using the word "polls" instead of "poll"? I'd call that a grammatical error, not spreading falsehoods.

Polls is a word which means more than one poll.

NBC/Marist (Clinton +9 in PA) was actually conducted after Quinnipiac and before Moore's article, yet Moore cherrypicked Quinnipiac (not to mention that he called it "polls&quot .

Your comment titlte reads "Moore was correct. Trump was up." But I never said Trump wasn't up anywhere. I said Trump wasn't up in more than one poll.

Moore's primary motive seems to be to try to reclaim some kind of control over the election and possibly to guilt people that didn't vote for his candidate. There's something disingenuous about his backhanded 'support' for Hillary; it's always accompanied by a snide comment on either her likeability or trustworthiness.

I don't know if it's just his ego getting in the way, or what. He seems to want to insert himself into every election in a very attention-grabbing "you'd better listen to me" kind of way.

Back in 2012, Moore said the same exact thing about Romney as he's saying about Trump:

"“Mitt Romney is going to raise more money than Barack Obama. That should guarantee his victory,” Moore told HuffPost host Josh Zepps. “I think people should start to practice the words ‘President Romney.’"

http://washington.cbslocal.com/2012/08/31/michael-moore-predicts-president-romney-in-november/

In 2008, he warned Dems they would lose. He wrote this:

When they walk into a voting booth, they will see two names on the ballot:
BARACK OBAMA
WARHERO
Trust me, this ain't Sweden you're living in. War Hero wins every time.

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/how-the-democrats-can-blow-it-in-six-easy-steps-20080821

Also from 2008 is this excerpt, which shows you how much his ego plays a role in everything:

I remember poor John Kerry not even being able to admit, when asked by Larry King, if he had seen Fahrenheit 9/11. “No,” he said, “I haven’t. . . . I don’t plan to, right now.” But he had indeed seen it. I sat there watching him say this, and I just felt sorry for him and for the election he was about to lose. We can’t take four more years of this madness, Barack. We need you to be a candidate who will fight back every time they attack you. Actually, don’t even wait till you have to fight back. Fight first! Show some vision and courage and smoke them out. Keep asking why these lobbyists are McCain’s best friends. Let’s finally have a Democrat who’s got the balls to fire first.

So Barack, by denouncing me, you can help McCain get elected. Because when you denounce me, it’s not really me you’re distancing yourself from — it’s the millions upon millions of people who feel the same way about things as I do. And many of them are the kind of crazy voters who have no problem voting for a Nader just to prove a point.*

Elections have been lost by just 537 votes. I don’t want that to happen to you.

*btw, wasn't Moore one of the "crazy voters" who voted for Nader?

I thought too. Lots of people deny they are but they are lying to themselves.

I don't even hate Trump on that level. I find he has no redeeming features but wow!
