1. That's right.
Because once it's explained it's no longer an issue.

Gave them back THEIR money. No big deal.

3. Did you read the articles?
They explain what the money is for and why they have nothing to do with the prisoners being released.

23. Bloomberg's MSNBC show said this was a decades old deal, & Iran just wanted to tie up loose ends.

4. another right-wing outrage that sounds bad and they'll try to tie it to hillary.
but on further thought, it's not really bad and it can't really be tied to hillary anyway.
typical of the right-wing faux scandal machine. their policy ideas suck, so all they have is non-stop distractions. |

5. It's a deflection from DT's current problems, which are yuuge. That money was seized in the 1980s...
...and always belonged to the Iranians.
Once the deal was negotiated and signed, the US got to inspect Iran's nuclear facilities, the US got its prisoners back, and Iran got its long-held money back. There. Was. No. Ransom. |

7. I know. You might try telling CNN that.
But so far, NOBODY has corrected them. And the explanation given at the presser where Michelle Kosinski asked why the US was paying a $400 million ransom to a state sponsor of terrorism was a little long winded and wonk-y.
Look, it is what it is. Hopefully, Donald will actually EAT a baby at the next rally and the media will be off on that. |

16. Even better, it's actually $1.7 billion they are owed
Giving it all back is contingent upon them keeping their word with the agreement.

8. Yes, this is ridiculous because the MSM has never had a dog in the fight of making
anybody look bad. And being patronizing and snotty about it always wins us so much support. Good thinking!

And they compete by *being* clickbait themselves.

11. This is Obama's doing. Hillary has been out of the administration 4 years now.
Hard to attach her to this. She disagrees with Obama on TPP, she would have went into Syria after they crossed Obama's red line and used chemical weapons. She can show she is her own woman and distance herself to appeal to those who don't want an "Obama 3rd term". I'll add Even though it's Iran's money and all that. The way it went down is sketchy.

Okay, well, the election is over. Trump won. Shucks, it was fun while it lasted. How you expect to make it to November is a mystery. |
