The real strategy of the GOP and Trump is to start some major sh*t at all precints in PA on election

day. It is a dog-whistle of another kind. We should all be very careful when going to the polls in some of these hyped-up-gun-toting areas. He is essentially inviting his supporters to go to the polls and INTIMIDATE potential voters. We need to get as much early voting and mail in voting as possible and we need to have our own poll watchers is selected areas to protect the vote.

1. My husband was a history major and said this is what the Nazi's did - sent the Stormtroopers

to "monitor" the voting at elections - to intimidate people.

15. The only need for cops will be if Trumpers try to intimidate voters.

Which is, I believe, a violation of the voting rights act and thus a federal offence.

Gov., AG, SecState and state Supreme Court.

Pennsylvania will not be Florida 2000.

5. PA has strict laws monitoring voting places

GOP goons will not be allowed inside polling places. They try anything police will be called and they will be escorted out.

6. Here's the truth: His followers won't do it.

They simply won't. They'll cheer, but they won't go into those heavily Democratic neighborhoods and raise a ruckus. They're frightened little people, who are only tough in their own minds.

They know they can't do what Trump is suggesting, and they won't even try. A few might, and will find themselves ejected from the premises or arrested and put in the back seat of a patrol car.

Trump's full of shit if he thinks his supporters are going to go out and change the election. They won't. They simply won't. They couldn't, even if they tried. Instead, they'll stay in their little neighborhoods and hold up a sign outside of their own polling place. That's all they'll do.

8. That's not all they'll do

Mostly, I agree with your thoughts, MineralMan. My only suggestion is that after they hold up their signs, they'll run home to their basements and start online posting of fictions about all the "irregularities" that they think they saw at their polling places.

Donald Trump's supporters are like him, cowardly and frightened little people. And just like him, many of them are idiots.

23. When the election is over, I believe that Trump may be served with multiple federal arrest warrants.

He has incited people to violence, hate crimes, assassination, sedition, and interference with voting. And many in his campaign will be cited for criminal communication and conspiracy with a foreign power -- Russia. After the election, lots of you-know-what will hit the fan; and Trump's business empire will crumble to dust before his eyes. Trump's stupidity and arrogance will have consequences. He will find that he is not above the law.

Trump is spending nothing on GOTV.

Also, since they believe the election is rigged no matter what they do, why would they bother to get out of bed to vote or protest?

30. No. They have no strategy. If they did, Trump would have been gone long ago.

I really think it is a disservice to assume that GOP-ers in aggregate are smarter than they appear. They aren't. That doesn't mean making any assumptions or letting our guard down but we should always see things as they truly are.

And the evidence points to ineptness and lack of a command structure. That's something we should take advantage of.

If his remarks are found to be voter intimidation and if Trump is deemed an agent of the Republican National Committee, it would also violate a consent decree banning the RNC from such activity.

That decree, which has been in place since 1982, was ordered in response to claims of voter intimidation against minorities in the 1970s and 80s, according to Politico's Josh Gerstein.

The consent decree states that the RNC must "refrain from undertaking any ballot security activities in polling places or election districts where the racial or ethnic composition of such districts is a factor in the decision" to monitor those areas.

It allows normal poll watching, like rallying supporters to vote, but not anything aimed at voter suppression, like posting armed guards at polling locations or questioning people in an intimidating way before they vote.

"It's possible Trump is trying to use this as a fundraising ploy to get people's names," says Richard Hasen, a law professor at the University of California, Irvine. "If that's what this is, I'd be relieved, but he's playing with fire here."

To be clear, liberals love to throw out the voter intimidation card. What we're advocating are open, fair and honest elections.
Trump Spokesman Jason Miller, in a statement
The U.S. Supreme Court rejected the RNC's plea to remove the decree in 2013, but added an expiration date of Dec. 1, 2017. If Trump is violating the decree, the DNC could ask for an extension of up to eight years, according to Hasen.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller says claims that volunteer poll observers could be a form of voter intimidation are unfounded.

"To be clear, liberals love to throw out the voter intimidation card. What we're advocating are open, fair and honest elections," Miller said in a statement to NPR's Sarah McCammon.

He also added that poll watchers are "standard for professional campaigns" and pointed out poll watcher guides from around the country, including New York and Texas.

In his statement to NPR, Miller echoed Trump's concerns about a "rigged system."

"As we've seen from Crooked Hillary's willingness to use - and outright lie about - government institutions for personal and political enrichment, t
