Related: About this forumAndrea Mitchell Joins Trump Campaign in Questioning Hillary’s Health
Its hard to imagine just how grateful Team Trump must be to Andrea Mitchell for breathing credibility into their despicable rightwing conspiracy theories about Hillarys health.
After Mitchell offers a litany of patently absurd garbage offered by conspiracy theorists as proof of their allegations regarding Hillarys health, Benenson rightfully responds: Those things do not even rise to a level of rebuttal. Theyre ludicrous. Theyre ridiculous. Theyre trumped-up allegations, because theyve got a desperate candidate.
This is, of course, hardly the first time that Mitchell has happily carried water for conservatives hoping to discredit and defeat Hillary by any means necessary. Mitchell has reported on the OIG report on Hillarys emails with positive glee, and wrongly reported that the OIG report showed Powell used both personal and official email.'

(42,862 posts)Is she afraid that the network execs may be thinking she's "too old" for the job? Is she trying to prove her worth by being "edgy" and "fair & balanced". Is this an stealth audition for something on Fox?

She's really marvelous! She's become the gutsiest interviewer on that network. Won't let any of these blowhards obfuscate or distract or divert or run on at the mouth.
BTW - as far as the ongoing enabling of Hillary hate... check this out:

I suggest we start reinforcing this one. Start tweeting these people - on CNN AND on MSNBC - taking them to task for trying to shove the stupid email thing down our throats long after there's ceased to be anything to it. Also, take them to task for lazy "journalism" that involves only stove piping any and all CON canards against Hillary, trying to stir shit up to cause her problems and bring her poll numbers down. Maybe what's needed is a growing tide of viewer disgust - where WE are calling them out for "journalistic" malpractice.

(54,268 posts)To me, the only surprise is not that she is being more blatant about her membership in the "anything-to-get-Hillary" club, but rather that she's still doing it on CNN rather than on Fox Noise. Maybe she was just too old for Roger Ailes to chase after, since that is seemingly their main criterion for hiring female "journalists."

Unless Mitchell argued the issue with him I don't think it's "carrying water" for the Trump campaign. As it is, she appeared to accept his explanation.

(10,893 posts)about HC's health is laughable. Not only are they going off of old photos of her, but Trump himself doesn't exactly look like the most physically-fit specimen around, and he's the one who has photos of himself eating KFC and McDonald's. On top of that, he's slightly older than her. Yet they don't badger him about his health.
