Really. We owe Trump a thank you note. How many times have we heard: "Get the politicians out of politics! Let businessmen run the country like a CEO runs a company! They'll fix all our problems fast and easy!" Or how many times have you seen some ass insisting "There are simple ways to solve these problems! Just make me President!"
Well, like a science experiment to prove whether something works or not, Trump meeting with the President of Mexico has demonstrated the stupidity of those assertions. As Hillary Clinton pointed out, there ain't nothing simple about it. Running a country, and dealing with other countries over your rights and theirs is complicated, and takes hard work.
Not that I expect the idiots who say such thing to see from this that they're wrong. But those who might not have been sure whether the idiots were right or wrong now know.
Don't get me wrong. I still can't believe we have Trump as a candidate at all. I'm appalled by him, and embarrassed for America, and I'll be worried for our future until Hillary is elected President. BUT if I look at him as a way of disproving all the stupid assertions made about who can and should run our country, like a science experiment, then I feel a little better. His candidacy won't change the idiots, but maybe...just maybe, it will shake awake all those who've been snoozing in class since Reagan.
