When they get a simple ticket like jay walking or traffic stop or street stop.

and seems to me the limited govt people would be all for not making local leo's do the feds job for them.

the whole thing is ephemera from another time.

Her murder by an undocumented immigrant in a sanctuary city, San Francisco, has fueled the fire of Trump's campaign. The killer had a criminal record, and had been deported multiple times.

A Mexican national who is in the country illegally, he has told news media that he was in San Francisco seeking work — a restaurant, landscaping or construction job. In a KGO-TV interview from jail after Steinle's death, he indicated that he went to San Francisco in part because of its liberal laws that made it easier for immigrants without documents to fly under the radar.
