A very tough choice for Republican down-ticket candidates.

What will they do? Tie themselves to a sure loser who is completely off the rails? Endorse a Democrat? It's Hobson's Choice for Republicans running for office in 2016, all around.

McCain is sort of leading the way. He's not really endorsing Trump, but is trying to sell the idea of electing GOP congressional candidates, himself being one such person. If he endorses Trump, he risks losing his phony baloney job. If he doesn't, he pisses off Trump's wacko base and could lose that same job. Either route is wishy-washy and will hurt him.

He can't endorse Hillary Clinton, certainly. He's in a tight spot. There is no good choice for him. I'm sure he's spinning in his grave, even though he's not in it yet.

C'est pour rire, as they say in France (and Canada).
