O’Reilly’s talking about retirement. Megyn could go to another network. And Hannity will go to...

Several staffers have described feeling like being part of a totalitarian regime whose dictator has just been toppled. “No one knows what to do. No one knows who to report to. It’s just mayhem,” said a Fox host. As details of the Paul, Weiss investigation have filtered through the offices, staffers are expressing a mixture of shock and disgust. The scope of Ailes’s alleged abuse far exceeds what employees could have imagined. “People are so devastated,” one senior executive said. Those I spoke with have also been unnerved by Shine and Brandi’s roles in covering up Ailes’s behavior. [...]

Many people I spoke with believe that the current management arrangement is just a stopgap until the election. “As of November 9, there will be a bloodbath at Fox,” predicts one host. “After the election, the prime-time lineup could be eviscerated. O’Reilly’s been talking about retirement. Megyn could go to another network. And Hannity will go to Trump TV.”

17. Probably. From The Atlantic, "Twilight of Fox News":
Sat Sep 3, 2016, 10:24 AM
Sep 2016
"And yet Fox News’ fortunes are ascendant, at least in the most quantifiable sense. The network’s annual profit in 2015 soared by about 20 percent. For the first time ever, Fox News has been the most-watched cable network among both primetime and daytime viewers for several months, with a larger audience than its nominal rivals, CNN and MSNBC combined. Led by “The O'Reilly Factor,Fox News doesn’t just have the best-rated news show on cable television; according to The Wrap, it has the 13 best-rated news shows on cable television."

Fox News is “mainstream" only by the modern and severely diluted definition of the term; Walter Cronkite once pulled audiences in the tens of millions. By any reasonable calculation, Fox News is niche. And its niche is old white men. Cable news is a gerontocratic kingdom where Fox News serves as king. The median age of Americans watching CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News is over 60. Half of Fox News viewers are over the age of 68.

Fox's problem isn't lack of a market for its swill. The swill's young market just isn't interested in cable. Its older market is becoming increasingly unwilling to pay for what it can get elsewhere, in too many cases can no longer afford to pay for, and of course, dying off.

is some kind of media "hot property." She's a FOX creation, unable to live outside of that artificial environment. CNN might take her, but I doubt it would work out in the long run unless she completely re-invents herself to dial back her partisanship.

to give it up if she moves to a different network. She would be leashed from pulling stunts like the Santa incident, and her schtick of talking over her guests gets old fast. Her current popularity stems from FOX viewers tuning in to watch her defend White Power on a daily basis. The entire FOX model is crumbling, and she's too much a part of it to escape, at this point.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3529418/Megyn-demand-salary-equal-Bill-O-Reilly-Kelly-s-threat-quit-Fox-bargaining-chip-pay-rise-15million.html

If Kelly does indeed decide to leave her long-time network, one thing is certain - she won't be unemployed for long.
After her performance during the first GOP debates, several executives at rival networks told Daily Mail Online that Kelly was a hot commodity who could be the next Barbara Walters or Diane Sawyer.

'Because of her commanding presence at the debate, Megyn's the hottest property in TV News for now and into the future,' revealed a news executive for one of the three networks who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak.

Another network news executive, a powerful female, who watched the debate on rival Fox network said, 'It's clear Ms. Kelly was the star of the evening, and my news division would kill in a New York minute to have her anchoring the evening news and doing special reports. She's worth many millions a year.'

F'ing Ailes, manipulating the RW since Richard Nixon.

If they were going to clean house then why promote these Ailes hacks and keep on the rest of his team? When you clean house you throw away all the trash.

On August 12, Murdoch promoted Shine and another Ailes loyalist, Jack Abernethy, to become co-presidents of Fox News. He named Scott executive vice-president and kept Brandi and Briganti in their jobs. Fox News’s chief financial officer, Mark Kranz, is the only senior executive to have been pushed out (officially he retired), along with Laterza and a handful of assistants, contributors, and consultants.
