"The Cowardice of Donald Trump" - The Atlantic

This article nails it and is spot on. Trump only talks tough in front of his adoring crowd of worshipers:
---
Crusaders against “political correctness” often portray themselves as brave. They deride others for knuckling under to left-wing orthodoxy, for being too afraid of African Americans, Latinos, feminists, and gays to speak the truth. They, on the other hand, speak their mind, come what may.

No presidential candidate has used this conceit more effectively than Donald Trump. His supporters love his willingness to say things about Mexicans, Muslims, and African Americans that ordinary politicians won’t say for fear of being called a bigot. That’s part of what they mean they say he “doesn’t talk like a politician.”

But over the last couple of weeks, Trump has illustrated something important about the anti-politically correct. They’re most comfortable confronting PC orthodoxy when the people they’re confronting aren’t around. Once they actually encounter African Americans, Latinos, and other minority groups, they become a lot less brave.

I shared it on Facebook and Twitter. On Twitter I included it in a reply to a Trump tweet from CNN. And I will do more of the same.

I was taken aback by the stark contrast between Trump's words and demeanor while in Mexico and his words and demeanor later that same day in Phoenix. It was gratifying to see that someone at such a high prestige and high visibility periodical saw that it was important enough to run with it.

I’m glad Trump is now speaking to more diverse crowds. I’m glad because, in so doing, he’s proving that when it comes to “political correctness,” conservative politicians and pundits aren’t more courageous than their liberal counterparts. They’re just more isolated from the ethnic and racial minorities about whom they speak. When the distance disappears, the “bravery” does too.

Donald Trump Is Terrified Of Black And Brown People

Donald Trump accidentally revealed the flip side of the usual racist-hater-bully he usually is in an interview with the New York Times Magazine.

We've all heard the lines about building walls, and how he feels about crime. But until today, those were just bully words coming from a swaggering bully-man. Now we get some true insight into his character.

He's terrified.

When asked about whether he would visit Iraq, he nearly recoiled in horror, telling the interviewer, "Never!". But it was the interviewer's observation of Trump's obvious recoil in horror that gave away the game. God forbid a presidential aspirant would go to a country full of brown Muslims. It's not the religion, folks. It's the color. He's afraid.

When he was asked a follow-up question about what cities he thinks are most dangerous right here in the U.S. of A, Trump was quick to name a few. Brooklyn, he said, and “there are places in America that are among the most dangerous in the world. You go to places like Oakland. Or Ferguson. The crime numbers are worse. Seriously.”

It's no accident that he named two cities which are heavily African-American, now is it?

The bully-man is terrified. Hair Drumpf* is utterly, completely, and totally scared out of his mind by black and brown people. He doesn't merely hate them, which he certainly does. He's actually afraid of them.

And he wants to be the leader of the free world. Maybe he should seek therapy for his phobias first.
