The recent post here*, the Soledad O'Brien/CNN story, the Paul Krugman column, all within the last week, make me wonder if the MSM hasn't finally begun to wake up to their habit of mistaking stupidity for objectivity.

Not saying they shouldn't, but if they do they best have some alternative media lined up. Let's face it, colluding corporates own 99% (including much influence over "public" networks) of the media right now. That is power that is hard to buck.
I would say that had the media not decided to give Trump all the free media he got he would have never got as far as he did. Should he become president, it would be mostly due to media reporting and lack of reporting.

(5,044 posts)The brutal fact is - The vast majority of Americans do not trust the news and do not watch the news. I think I read recently that under 2% of Americans consume M$M on a daily basis.
I really don't blame anyone for tuning out - it's pathetic and getting worse.

(13,777 posts)In this morning's press conference she was asked if there is a different standard in press coverage and answered that she was heartened by the number of articles recently pointing out the disparate treatment of Trump and his campaign compared to ours.
