Does anybody remember "Bush's Law" from 1988?

I don't know who actually first proffered it, but they applied it to the GHWB campaign against Dukakis. Dimson revived it in 2000, and Trump is again trying to ratify it this year. (So far, he's been horrendously successful.)

Bush's Law stated:

“A politician will be successful in direct proportion to his ability to convince a majority of voters that the bullshit he is feeding them is actually whipped cream.”

Certainly undeniable that tRump is trying to ride that principle all the way to the Oval Office.
