White House Spokesman: Obama Confident That Clinton Is Fit To Be Prez
At a Monday news briefing, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that President Barack Obama remains confident in Hillary Clinton's ability to meet the demands of the presidency after her campaign belatedly disclosed a pneumonia diagnosis.
Obama's confidence in Clinton's ability to succeed him has not changed, Earnest said, according to an Associated Press report.
"I think those are entirely legitimate questions," Earnest said with regard to questions about the nominees' health. "But how they're answered is something that the individual candidates have to decide for themselves."
