237,268 DU user registrations and we and the press are drowning in Trump shit

We CAN make a difference (wish the DU activist corps was still in place)

Step 1- Think like an Undecided and/or Independent

Step2
Sign up on Twitter (easy as pie) *guess only way to communicate. In 2004 - 2008 we had email addresses of all press.

Step 3
Each day, decide what is the most egregious Trump sin. Or, we may want to come up with, say, 3 major themes, and stick with them for the long haul media push.

Step4
Bombard the media.

I can provide a full list of media twitter addresses.

P.S. If you poo-poo this idea - you will strongly be considered as a troll (why would a true DUer object??). Oh shit if that is a DU rule violation, my bad

P.P.S Think Chris Hayes is into DU, based on his program tonight

You cannot use the search function. You can sort through the Activism forum, or others though.

You can also search through google, and if you know the title of a thread, then you have a good chance of finding it. Like for example, if you search "20000th post on the still functioning beloved du2" my thread comes up from when I hit 20000 posts.

I wish you luck if you search. I am doing a little bit of searching for you, as I like this idea. If I find anything I'll post it.

The Washington Post has spent the past few months searching for evidence of that kind of personal donation, without much success. The Post has called 326 charities with connections to Trump, asking if they had received a gift of the nominee's own money. Between 2008 and this May, that search turned up just one gift, from 2009. It worth less than $10,000.

Sep 2016

1. Sign up, create a name

2. Think of it like email.....johndoe@yahoo.com. But....it is prefaced with an "@" symbol on twitter. Like Donald Trump is @realdonaldtrump. You might be @maryjones

3. You only have a hundred word limit and you can include a link. But, if I wanted to send Donald Trump a twitter message it would be "@realdonaldtrump YOU SUCK" (This automatically puts your tweet in his inbox and everyone who is "following" him will also see it in his inbox.

4. Additionally, there is the hashtag. This denotes subject. For instance, say it was 9-11. You might post a tweet and include #9-11. If you do that, and someone searches for everything about 9-11, they will see your post

5. Trending. May be a hashtag of great frequency.

Bottom line, on the news, Trump is a master. He understands the timing and the manipulation of the press. He is controlling/orchestrating what millions upon millions see when they turn on CNN. And, why can't we do that? If we have a 1/4 of a million registered, why can't we point the media to what they are missing about the crimes of Trump?

So....how do we get the attention of the news? email, I guess, is passe. now it's twitter. which is merely just an updated version of email, which was an updated version of US mail.

yes, use social media as much as possible but talk radio has been kicking internet/ soc media ass (why do we have trump in the first place)

here's the simple math the left/dems have been ignoring for 25 years:

at a cheap $1000/hr x 15hrs/day x 1200 stations, rw talk radio is worth 4.68 BIL$/ year or 390MIL$ /month FREE for coordinated global warming denial, pro republican wall st think tank propaganda, free market deregulation bullshit, swiftboating, and the hate and fear used to get people to vote republican.

that is why trump is the candidate. that is why we aren't 15 pts left instead of still dealing with flat earthers on so many issues. that is the reason the talking head dumbfucks can't figure out why trump is close without spending money. that is why hillary's negatives are so high.

the social media and internet advantages are relatively democratic and disperse. the talk radio monopoly is a nationally and locally well coordinated and UNCHALLENGED classic style psyops that overwhelms that advantage.

ignoring talk radio is the biggest political mistake in history.

paint a RUSH tattoo on trump's forehead while you're at it, and you'll see a major change in the way the msm treats him

tell them to poll his followers for talk radio associations

complain to the 90 + universities who endorse trump by broadcasting sports on 270+ limbaugh stations

how do their students and faculty put up with all that global warming denial and racism and bigotry sold while those stations ride their beloved mascots?

start the discussion around the absurdity of their sports teams and community cred and mascots to be used to bring in advertising to help those stations sell trump, racism, global warming denial, defunding of public ed, fighting off efforts to lower student debt and tuition, etc.

whatever the school actually did or when is irrelevant - any serious discussion would freak out local gop and media would notice and then advertisers would flee - and i'll bet a lot of those stations would have to find alternative programming to keep the uni relationship.

a few schools doing something would shame others into following. it could spread

for eg.

a school like penn state, home of climate scientist micheal mann, supports 11 limbaugh stations that do globala warming denial while flying the nittany lions flag

Michigan St. 11, Michigan 7, Western Michigan 1 support 19 limbaugh stations helping gov snyder evade jail and fix the lead water problem

phone, letter or social media. I pledge to do one of those if we were to focus on one main project each few months. Sometimes these things take weeks and weeks to see any progress.

60. i was just streaming some wisconsin rw radio - WIBA

and half way into the first hour of the limbaugh show i heard a long ad for an official university of wisconsin tailgate party for the badgers next game.

it's absurd the students there put up with that - the local blowhards after and before limbaugh are there to make excuses for trump and attack hillary like limbaugh does, but they're also serving walker and will predictably and dutifully do what local gop and their think tanks want including help walker defund public ed, attack teachers and professors, and fight off student debt relief and living wage efforts.

it's happening at universities all over the country and it's absurd.

those universities are the perfect places to protest anything trump/republican because of that connection to talk radio and because of the consequences for rw radio as advertisers all over the country dropped it..

This is so true! The AM RADIO HATE MACHINE is powerful. It's on in millions of homes and cars and workplaces all day long, reaching them with BS lies and smears. I tell those I know to stop listening. They say they like to know what the other side is thinking, I say they're thinking lies and what's the point. Once a year or so I'll listen to 10 minutes of Rush and Hannity, and my God, they're still spewing nasty toned distorted half truth and lies.

We need a couple ten or twenty rich liberals to buy start some stations in major markets again, and fund some talented internet folks who struggle to get by.

imo the best way to destroy the monopoly is described above, by protesting the universities that that monopoly can't do without

It is essential to do this. Been doing it for weeks now myself. We need to do the media's now. I don't know how much of the myopia is laziness, bias, or agreement with Trump's "agenda." I do know that we are starting to have an impact. We need to also get the poit across that the white nationalists' actions and Trump's refusal to denounce their activies are a threat to many and will not be tolerated.

There are a couple who twitter-dog every comment trump makes. just a couple.

I think all the media reads here including Obama admin. I also think plenty of republicans use DU and post here. Where else will they go? people say redit but their 'news aigrette' system is buried in way to many separate 'forums' called sub-redits.

Hiya
Twitter is great but the trolls pushing trumps bile will be in all social media sites and most people just don't do twitter

Please use your pro HRC and anti Dumpf messages in parenting sites in car sites...anywhere with a news or chat section. This is what the leave campaign did. And it worked. People read and lurke. You can't persuade the trolls but you will the lurkers. Good luck. The UK is rooting for you
