I know it's the last weeks of the campaign, but WHY IS EVERY 3RD EMAIL BEGGING FOR MONEY?

I've done my share of donating to candidates I support, and I suspect most others have as well. I'm damn sick of these people trying to scare the rest of us into giving MORE! They're FAILING to accomplish their goad with ME by using these tactics! Fear tactics don't work, on me at least!

I even got a text message last week which really p'd me off! I sent a return text saying "How the hell did you get me cell #? NO MORE MONEY! GO AWAY!!

Still, campaigns are costly and donations are needed. If you cannot or do not wish to donate, you needn't do so. Others might, though, which is the reasons for the requests.

I'm never "p'd off" by a request for campaign donations, even if I cannot donate at that time. As for your email and cell number, no doubt you provided them at some time to someone.

Have given $5000 to senate campaigns and Hillary....we have to elect Hillary and retake congress. No question

I'm mocking because the premise of this whole thread is so eminently mockable to begin with.

Is an industry now. The campaigning and fundraising NEVER ends! It seemed for a long time that only right-leaning groups sent out fundraising emails but in 2010 left-leaning orgs joined the fun... I get at least 1 fundraising email everyday!

Some are from Party groups like DNC, DSSC etc. Some are from individual candidates, some are from supporters of individual candidates. Before writing this post I went to my email and counted those I got TODDAY. There are 48 so far, and most are the frantic scare type. I usually just ignore this kind of stuff, but this year it's getting out of hand.
