I am tired of the Democrats on CNN not hitting back when told that Democrats have done nothing

for people of color in bad neighbourhoods. The GOP has been reducing taxes and fighting against city amalgamation for generations. In Canada our cities have joined together to form bigger cities resulting in a bigger tax base and safer cities. The GOP wants people divided so they can play them off against each other. In canada too we did keynesian spending after the recession which the GOP has tried to stop the whole time Obama was president and succeeded after the Democrats lost the house in 2010. GOP policies are the cause of middle class and poor lack of income growth in the last 30 years. Hillary's team need to hit this again and again because Trump is just offering more tax cuts and GOP policies.

for the decline of our inner-cities, conveniently forgetting that the chief driver of that decline (white flight) is hardly a liberal position.

2. Yes -- it's the Republican governors who are doing nothing to help people in urban areas with blight

Not the Democrats who lead many of these cities. Flint Michigan is a typical example.

against ANY GOP attacks. We saw it with Mondale, with Dukakis, with Gore and with Kerry.

The thing I'll give Bill C. credit for on that was the "rapid response team". If we'd used that idea in every fall campaign, we'd have won instead of losing or at the worst turned big losses into respectable showings that gave us something to build on for the next cycle.

The lesson is clear:

If you leave a slur unchallenged, the voters will BELIEVE the slur. And you will lose at the polls.

THEY pick and choose who will be on. Firebrands may get a chance here and there and then they are not invited back.

Democrats and liberals need to buy, control, AND support our own media. Al Franken and others tried with Air America and it failed due to lack of support.
