I truly can't believe that some could be so selfish to be okay with him being president.

than he can be.
Bernie has his virtues, and I'm tremendously glad for the self awareness Warren and then his run awakened in us. But my observations are of a rigid far-left thinker with some significant limitations.
What kind of person could have lived the last 40 years and seen no significant difference between the liberals and conservatives in the Democratic and Republican parties and what they believe in? The democratic socialist he's always said he is (not a socialist democrat), but someone who truly believes there is virtually nothing good to save in our current economic systems. No matter how well some have proved they can work for large numbers of people when managed right.
Really, it's downright unreasonable to expect him to pull for those who want to fix it. So he is what he is and always has been, and of course he hasn't changed. It's not in him.
And btw, I wish I were in Ohio. I'd love to go see Elizabeth Warren.

(47,209 posts)Or his thoughtless and unrealistic position on reproductive rights. Those things made me think he was just in another planet.
I'm glad he's out fighting for what he believes in, but yeah- it hasn't much connection to what we have to work with at the moment. Oh well.

(58,785 posts)but EXTREMELY sincere. Lol. I haven't wasted any thought on forgiving any tactics. I'm sure it would not be appreciated! I just assume that, if someone believes the future of a nation rests on him or her, that person almost certainly will believe the ends justify the means.

(7,888 posts)Thank you riversedge, it troubles me that some of those commenting are unwilling to give Senator Sanders the respect he deserves.
Haters do not sway me in my vote, lovers and forgivers have my ear, mind and heart.
