Serious Discussion: Why is media on Trump's side?

It looks like the TV media has the power to make or break candidates, and decide which issues are more important. Trump has hogged the media, insulted every one, said they are the most deceitful of the lot, and even that they should be shot. Clinton on the other hand has been nothing but respectful, apologized for her mistakes, provided all the information requested for. The only thing she can be blamed for is that she did not give many press conferences and in general likes to keep a distance from press.

Surely, most of the TV people are college educated and fall into the "Hillary demographic". Why then are they over blowing Clinton's negatives and giving a pass to Trump's so so many serious issues? I understand they may be too many, but can't they pick on one or two per week to focus on?

Also, when the Clinton Foundation was being discussed, they always said it raised questions, and then talked as if all the lies were truths and finally added, "to be fair, the Clinton people have pushed back". But for Trump, they lead with "Trump's team has rejected the idea that ...." as if what they reject is the truth.

What could be the reason for this? Do they really want Trump to win? Aren't they afraid? Are they told what to do by the networks and they have no choice? Do they hate Hillary so much?

I think its just that, business. A close race is better for ratings, no good when Hillary was running away with it. And they probably think a Trump presidency would be ratings gold as he would do something ridiculous daily.

Sadly, they have put the good of the country behind their ratings.

The ring of a cash register can be even louder than Trump's bigoted mouth.

There is very little discussion of what Hillary will do for the country.
It's all how horrible Trump will be.

This insures that Trumps name will bee first thing on everyone's mind and people vote for who they think they know.

what with Donnie Jr's comments about the taxes and Donnie Sr's comments to Pastor + debate on his new "economic" plan. I honestly understand now why HRC was happy not being talked about in the media.
