Here is a message for the unenthusiastic Hillary Clinton voter

Politics Done Right (on Facebook) covered the topic "It is all about misogyny. Will America defeat a con or misogyny?" An unenthusiastic voter who called into the show that riled me up a bit.

Before I started taking calls, I read the blog of the week concerning the misogyny inflicted on Hillary Clinton and why the media was okay with it.

Poor and dishonest coverage of the election creates voter apathy and lack of enthusiasm. Worse, however, are the false equivalences they create.

The caller had a very specific question. If Trump was not the one running against Hillary Clinton, what compelling reason would be there to vote for her? I pointed out that the candidate I would support was one who would ensure the continuation of Obamacare and the appointment of good Supreme court justices. I've stopped trying to make the case to the unenthusiastic voter that they should be enthusiastic. Instead, I look for the race, or the ballot initiative that interests them and make sure they get enthusiastic about THAT. Once I have them in the voting booth, I figure they'll go ahead and vote Dem anyway, while they're there doncha know.
