I truly believe that is a grave possibility should the tRump become elected.
Why that doesn't frighten everyone is a mystery to me.
This isn't a game.
This isn't funny.
This man is dangerous.

(5,811 posts)China has wanted to be the global currency for a long time. I don't think some people understand what's really at stake in this election. I can sum it up this way. America's democracy is at stake in this election

(6,133 posts)I like to joke about how ridiculous tRump is and how he's literally trying to lose on purpose to hand the election and both houses over to Dems, but the possibility of him as president is sobering. You're dead on. Billions of lives may be lost in the blink of an eye, all because this idiot doesn't understand the power of the presidency.
And unfortunately, it's so hard to imagine millions of dead Americans, people we know, that reality may only set in for everyone after it's far far too late to do anything about a maniac in the White House.

(14,853 posts)There are MANY other concerns as well, but that one is at the top for me.
Maybe if it wasn't so "easy" for a POTUS to launch nuclear missiles via the "nuclear football" then I wouldn't worry about it as much, but that's not the case. The system is mostly set up to allow the POTUS to act quickly, not question the decision.
If Trump appoints a fellow nut as his Secretary of Defense, and he likely will, then it's even easier.
