2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumCNN: Don Lemon and Poppy Harlow attacking Trump
for his premature statement concerning the explosion in NYC. Highly critical of him making statement about a "bomb" and that "we need to get very tough" before any statement on cause from authorities.
Questioning his ability to serve as Commander in Chief.
I think things have turned as far as the way he is going to be covered for the remainder of this election.

(24,396 posts)I remember how Romney immediately jumped in to politicize Benghazi in 2012 and how that didn't work out well for him. I figured that Trump would immediately jump in front of the cameras about this and I was not mistaken.

(5,255 posts). . . that the worm may finally have turned concerning Trump's fawning press coverage. Who knows? Maybe the media members are finally realizing that living in a world with this unqualified dolt in office won't really be the whopping good time they seem to have believed, to this point, that it will be. There's a lot to be said for measured responses to a crisis or domestic or world event of any kind, for discipline, for waiting for the facts to come in before spewing out a Twitter-ready, ill-informed "take." Most such events are complex and have many layers. Popping off instantaneously about them is completely unpresidential. Media members: please take note.

that Trump seems to know it's a bomb before any official word.
At best, sloppy and irresponsible, at worst, he's connected somehow.
