Christie says 'no evidence' Seaside Park bomb connected to NYC, Minn. attacks
TRENTON Gov. Chris Christie said, at least for now, the pipe bomb that detonated in Seaside Park ahead of a Marine Corps charity race Saturday morning is unrelated to the explosion in New York City that injured 29, or the knife attack in a Minnesota that preceded it by half an hour.
"We don't believe at this time that there's any evidence connecting it to the attacks in New York or Minnesota," said Christie, appearing on CNN's "Inside Politics" with Jake Tapper this morning.
He added that while the New Jersey State Police had "some promising leads, but no suspects at this time."
But despite the lack of suspects, the governor added that there was no question in his mind that all three events were acts of terror.

An explosive device was detonated Saturday morning along the route of a 5K run for military soldiers.
"You can call them whatever you want, but they are terrorism, though," Christie.
A man dressed as a security guard in a St. Cloud shopping mall wielding a knife wounded 8 people before being killed by an off-duty officer. According to a report in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the man made references to Allah, and asked one of his victims if he was a Muslim.
