So - is there anything that Trump could say or do to alienate his supporters?
It seems like Trump can get away with saying whatever the hell he pleases and the more fiery his rhetoric, the more his supporters go bonkers. Perhaps this is a stupid question, but I keep wondering -- is there anything, anything, anything at all that tRump could say or do that would alienate his supporters?
The flip side of this is this -- is there anything that can come forward (and so much stuff has come forward that for any other candidate s/he's be dead int he water) that could totally cripple tRump's presidential campaign? I'm familiar with all of the lists and websites that go into detail of all of the lies and deceit and fraud and downright terrible things tRump has done. None, none, none of it seems to matter to his supporters....so what would matter???

1. Well in theory, he could start acting sensibly
That would really piss off his base
But no worries, he's incapable of that. |

2. If he were to say he was glad and relieved that Hillary is well and back on the campaign trail,
I think that would do him in...LOL..

3. Endorse Clinton for President.
His supporters would experience mass cognitive dissonance.
Welcome to DU. |

4. Nope!
They are anti government, they think that Trump will destroy the government and all their problems will be solved.

5. Only if he came out and said he's sexually attracted to men
But he might still retain the Log Cabin Repubs.

6. I'm going to break with the herd here...
Yes, there is, but it's not going to happen. If he told the truth about the Benghazi and email investigations being nothing more than hyped up political witch hunts to distract voters, they'd drop him in droves.
But, that would require him to tell a truth which won't benefit him, so it's never going to take place. |

7. Even if he repudiates every thing he said, they would say, "He is lying to get elected."
They no a racist sexist white privilege-loving male when they see one.

9. Well...
If he got up on national TV and told everyone that this whole thing has been a huge joke, and he has been playing them for fools, that might work, but the really hard core haters would probably think it was OK, he is not serious since they aren't very smart. Hard to say how many that would be, but the rest of them might give up on him and stay home, maybe a few would vote for Hillary, but it would still end his pathetic campaign.

10. And what about the media who has propped up this - dare I say it - World Menace
They have a responsibility to finally cover Trump for who he is and what he has done. Is there anything that the media could do to give pause to the Trump supporters? His supporters seem to like him for what he is... "he tells it like it is" and "he's politically incorrect and we like that no nonsense kind of talking". All this dirt and scandal is out there and nobody seems to care...so how can we be sure he "crashes and burns"??

13. Start off with a chemical reaction with is tan in a can turning his skin black
Add a video having sex and being the girl with rudy. (The video of rudy in drag was close but not good enough) Say he wants all semi-auto guns outlawed, confiscated, full back ground checks on everyone including a visit to a physiologist, long form birth certificate, and full documentation. Might drop off half of them.

Nahhhh, they'd never believe it, they'd just think it was some sort of ingenuine ploy.

16. The truth is ...
... that what has been revealed about Trump and his history is never covered - nor even broached - by the MSM. So for many people, those facts simply don't exist.
I am sure that the average Trump supporter has never done a minute's research into his background. They have seen Hillary scrutinized by the media for decades now; her every statement, her every action, her every decision has been dissected - often to her detriment, along with endless speculation about what she may have done "wrong", with few facts to support it. The voter who relies on the media for news honestly believes that if Trump said or did anything untoward, the media would be all over it - in the same way they were all over HRC about everything from Whitewater to Benghazi to her email server. They assume that because the MSM never brings such scrutiny to bear when it comes to Trump, there must be no "there" there. I have seen Trump supporters discuss this online. They are convinced that Trump is honest and straightforward, because if he wasn't, they'd have heard about it on "the news". The absence of such scrutiny has convinced them that anything they've read/heard about Trump's dishonesty, bad-faith business dealings, etc., must simply be rumours that have no basis in fact because if they did, they'd be all over the media. The fact that the MSM has steered clear of Trump's true history, and have treated him as a serious candidate who is somehow equivalent to HRC on every level, has created a completely false image of Donald Trump - and those who support him have been assured by the media that both candidates are of equal standing in every regard. The fault here lies with the MSM. They want - nay, they need a horse-race. Were they to tell the truth about Trump, there would be no horse-race. And you don't keep asses on the couch tuned-in between now and November by broadcasting the obvious differences between the two candidates. It is all important to keep the "anyone can win this thing" narrative going - a narrative that would fall flat on its face if Trump's past were as closely scrutinized, investigated, and discussed 24/7 as is Hillary's. The MSM is comprised of shills who are far more interested in their ratings/readership than they are in telling the truth. |

17. So then NanceGreggs -- if the MSM actually did their job
and starting telling the awful truth about Trump (next question -- will they??? any of them???), that kind of information might make some Trump supporters question his candidacy?
If so -- do we the enlightened people have the obligation to call, write, bombard the MSM (those who may per chance listen) about having them do their job? I haven't yet sent out tweets or emails to MSM and keep thinking that I should -- anything, anything to help convince the MSM that they are betting on an extremely dangerous horse race... |
