If Colbert were to run as a third party candidate against Obama and Romney, who would you vote for?

I don't know who I'd vote for (Definitely not Mittens, though). I think Colbert would actually make a good president and his beliefs are more in line with mine than with Obama's, although I like PBO and think he's done a very good job as president overall.

Who would you vote for?

As a principled conservative, Colbert would run far to the right of Romney. I'd vote for Obama. qb Jan 2012 #1

He's an ACTOR, a COMEDIAN. What is his position, his true position, on anything. You haven't a clue. You just think you do.

And for the record, I'd vote for Obama since voting for Colbert is effectively voting for Romney (it gives Obama one less vote in a race to see who gets the most votes - a zero sum competition.)

And no, my new pony Sprinkles who mysteriously appeared in my yard has NOTHING to do with it. Nothing at all.

Colbert doesn't WANT the job. He just wants to fuck with the morons in the GOP (that's redundant, isn't it).

You'd give serious thought to voting for a comedian against the President?

Please!

for his show (and it's a lot of fun) but is as serious a candidate as Pat Paulson was.

and a showman.

Actually you don't know what he's REALLY THINKING - because nearly everything he says/does is for his "schtick". I've only seen him once or twice "out of character" and while I THINK he's probably more left than right and probably a pretty smart guy, I hardly think he's capable of being the President.

It would have to be extremely extra-ordinary circumstances for me to ever vote for a Republican. (And I'd probably have to be severely impaired. . .)
