Snip: Blood, a registered Democrat, faces an uphill battle in the Republican-leaning district and also lags in fundraising. Garrett had about $11,000 cash on hand for the period ending in mid-June, while Blood had about $1,200. The next finance reports are due next month.
Of the 23,105 registered voters in District 3, there are 10,240 Republicans, 6,749 Democrats, 5,854 nonpartisan voters and 262 Libertarians.
Both candidates are asking voters to look at their records and experience before heading to the polls.

In the May primary, Garrett won by 554 votes.

Here is another kick for visibility. I know how important these seats are to citizens of their respective states. While we are ever so slowly trending to blue as a whole in Florida, we are also damn near as red as ever when it comes to State House seats.
