Funny how so many people on DU are downplaying the national polls now that Hillary is improving

Even though people have always said that the momentum starts with national polls and then once it reaches a certain point trickles down to the state polls. However, several people have made it seem like Hillary's momentum seem like it does not matter. However, if she had falling national numbers too then the sky would be falling......

I think quite a hell of a lot of us are on board with that outcome.

But it does get tiring having the same people posting the same negative shit about Hillary on DU. Fortunately, I have a remedy for that.

states blue, it would great to add Texas to our column.

It would stun the Republicans.

to spend a lot of money and effort defending Texas and I like it that Clinton-Kaine is contesting that state.

Kasich thought early on that Trump could not win Ohio, and added that he would not assist Trump-Pence in the Buckeye State. I think that bodes well for us in Ohio.

For me, the Senate matters a lot, and I'd like to see Pennsylvania voters toss Toomey off the train. We can do with blue pickups in New Hampshire and Indiana as well.

And -- why not? -- a win for Kander in Missouri.

They could always join the conspiracy to get Jill Stein on the debate stage...they're going to need a lot of help to pull that off.

What seems odd is that while Clinton is 3-5% ahead according to national polls, she's actually underperforming her national numbers in the battleground states (Ohio, Florida, big time in Iowa, etc).

This isn't what one would expect of the campaign with the more sophisticated data analytics and superior ground game.

Only way to do it is alert. I have done this many times, but some posters are very clever by declaring that they are Hillary supporters, but......

My current solution is ignore.

Could you imagine the media stories? They'd be doing stories about how Melania is going to decorate the Lincoln Bedroom with pink feathers and posters of the Jonas Brothers.

Hillary's gains in the polls will be barely a blip.

What we've seen is Hillary had a bad couple weeks, the worst she could have had, she reached her low polling point and even then she would have won. Not water is reaching its level and Hillary is back out in front comfortably again.
