My Mother-in-law sent in her absentee ballot yesterday.

Absentee voting begins today in Minnesota. My wife's 88-year-old mother lives in an assisted living facility. A couple of weeks ago, the staff there helped all residents register to vote at that address and apply for absentee ballots.

My wife helped her mom vote yesterday. After she completed her ballot, it went into the already stamped envelope and into the mail. Her ballot will be among the first cast in Minnesota this year.

She voted for Hillary Clinton, as well as for our fine, progressive House Representative, Betty McCollum.

One vote cast. Many more to come!

There are places where they just don't care and the result is that large swathes of people are disenfranchised.

We were about to do it for her, but they just brought all the materials in and helped the residents as needed. Bravo! to them.
