Who is throwing a debate party? Want to go?

It's a great way to build bonds in your community and make friends. If you're not already planning a debate party, you can attend the many democratic field office parties being hosted around the country. (see below)

You'll have fun and you'll meet the people who are passionate about this election.

The first presidential debate of the general election is almost here. After months of campaigning, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will finally face off—on the same stage—and discuss their two very different visions for our country.

If you’re interested in America’s future, you won’t want to miss this.

Here’s what you need to know in advance of the debate, plus a few useful refreshers:

When is the debate?
Presidential debate #1: Monday, September 26 at 9pm EST
Vice presidential debate: Tuesday, October 4 at 9pm EST
Presidential debate #2: Sunday, October 9 at 9pm EST
Presidential debate #3: Wednesday, October 19 at 9pm EST
Four things to read before the debate:

Before the debates, get up to speed on what’s been going on with Hillary and Trump—over the past few months, and over the course of their careers. Check out these four articles before debate night:

1. 112 reasons Hillary should be our next president.
2. 126 things Trump has said and done that, in a normal election, would disqualify a nominee.
3. Hillary has spent her life fighting for children—here are 8 ways she’s changed their lives.
4. 7 ways Trump proved he’s not ready to be Commander-in-Chief (in less than 30 minutes.)

How can I watch?
The debates will air live on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, C-Span, Fox News, and more. There will also be live streams available—check back here closer to the day of the debate for more details.

How do I stay updated?
