What Can Clinton Do About The Inevitable Debate Question About Her Emails?

Answer: For over two decades my political adversaries have tried and tried to discredit me and what's the best they've been able to come up with? A few emails? Benghazi? Two trumped-up (no pun intended) charges that have been investigated multiple times, all with the same conclusion: that I did nothing wrong.

If they spent one-tenth of the time looking into Mr. Trump's affairs they would have found his various misuse of his foundations funds, his apparent attempts to bribe public officials. And maybe they would have discovered why he spends so much time tearing down the President of the United States while praising foreign dictators.

Optional: for "Mr. Trump" substitute "delusional Don"

She can't get dragged into some long drawn out explanation like she did in the CiC w/Laurer, which then makes her seem like she's hiding something.

She needs a clear, concise, sound-bitey answer such as this:

"I used a personal email for non-classified info just as my predecessors did. I transmitted all classified info over the state dept's secure servers. At no time was classified info ever at risk. I have been thoroughly investigated and cleared of any wrongdoing. If the viewers at home have any further questions, please go to my website, where you will find a comprehensive explanation of this situation."

The End.

If Trump or the moderator tries to ask it again, just repeat the same answer, especially the website. I'm not sure if she has a page/site like this (dedicated to this situation) but this is what she needs to do, so she can point any and all questions to it. This way she is answering the question honestly, while avoiding having to waste time discussing it.

The End.

Then pivot to Trump's transparency issues, e.g. taxes, medical records, business dealings, ties to Putin, Manafort, etc - and the media's failure to address it, false equivalency, etc.

stupid enough to waste time on that. That is what Matt Lauer did. If Lester Holt does the same bullshit, than I damn well expect him to ask Trump questions about his shady dealings, tax returns, and strange foreign connections

Penalty for not answering a bare bones one - as in "I was cleared" - is quite enough. And then pivot to ask what is NOT being asked if the Donald.

Nip it in the bud. Say the emails have been discussed for more than a year and now it's time to talk policy.

No classified material was involved and there are no missing emails.

She could add in "Regardless of what some have been mislead to believe.

She could have reminded Lauer that these matters had been litigated to a fare-thee-well, apologized yet again and then teased, “Why don’t you ask me about Aleppo, Matt?”

It was suggested on these pages several times: just have a one sentence and then move on.

Valerie Plame, that was a clear case of treason and the newspapers and pollsters really were no where NEAR as interested in that true scandal which did damage our national security (how will weconvince people in other countries to share info with our agents when they will think, "YEah, and have your agent outed by the Republicans and I am tortured to death and my whole family dies".) as they are in my use of emails which really wasn't that unusual (use of personal email accounts to do government work is not at all unusual - check State Dept's IG report) and as Director Comey said, my system was safer than commercial email accounts (as former Sec Powell advised me to use) (Commercial email service providers have cyber--security personnel who can examine all emails and attachments on their system. THus, this cannot be considered a safe-for-classified info system) or the Government's systems because my server wasn't hacked. ANd as Dir Comey admitted, none of the emails purported to contain classified information had the required Classified Header on it (-- uh-oh, can I say that on M$M?), and yet the media never tire of talking about it. I need to ask the GOP how they can get away with a real threat to our security and yet saw about .1% as much attention from the media as I have experienced?
