2. He is like a religious cult leader

He, their leader, can do no wrong. No matter what comes out about him, they refuse to acknowledge that he is not the person they think he is. They believe his lies, they spread those lies as if it were the only "truth", and they defend him at all costs because they worship him as their only hope.
