U.S. law enforcement is looking into Donald Trump foreign policy advisor Carter Page’s meetings with high-ranking Russian officials this summer, Yahoo’s Michael Isikoff reports.

Page, who Trump said was one of his five foreign policy advisors last March, is suspected of communicating with “senior Russian officials” about “the possible lifting of economic sanctions” if Trump becomes president, Yahoo reports, citing “multiple sources who have been briefed on the issue.”

One of the officials Page allegedly met with, Igor Diveykin, is “believed by U.S. officials to have responsibility for intelligence collected by Russian agencies about the U.S. election.” Russia is widely believed to be behind high-profile computer hacks that appear timed to influence the presidential election.

ThinkProgress obtained a letter from Sen. Harry Reid to the FBI, dated August 27, demanding an investigation into Page’s contacts with the Russians. Reid’s letter refers to Page as a “Trump advisor” with “investments in Russian energy conglomerate Gazprom.”

He may need to deal with, it is the problem in the dealings with Russia and there needs to be attention placed with Trump University. These are not scandals created by Democrats but by Trump himself.

and still holds a roughly 40% change of winning? I know, we got the ground game...but this is absolutely sick.

This man can seemingly get away with anything at all. Is he going to be indicted for any the fraud he has perpetrated? This should be front and center and Trump should be disqualified. Period.

If this comes up during the debate, Hillary could kill him with it. It is about time that Trump gets a dose of his own medicine. Hillary should bring up a perhaps not totally substantiated charge that Russia has its tentacles deep in the Trump campaign. The advisers with connections with Russia, along with the Trumps praises of Putin and the Russian hacking of the DNC should bring tons of public scrutiny.

I guarantee that if Hillary brings this up and makes an issue of it in the debate, the cable news channels will be all over it the following day. The American people are not going to take kindly to the image of Trump playing footie with Putin.
