(19,948 posts)it might indicate that the Trump campaign intend for him to be "Presidential" for the 90 minutes, so they can then declare him to be the winner.

(26,251 posts)When he goes off of bloviating mode, he becomes sullen, dull, totally off if his game and looks like he'd rather be anyplace else. A perfect example is his behavior in Flint, before, during and after he was reprimanded, in person, by a woman.
What I think will be interesting is his demeanor during the 3rd debate, when he faces a female moderator. If he lasts that long.

(26,251 posts)But, damn, Hillary is smart and savvy. I have no doubt she has spent a whole lot of time in rigorous debate rehearsals and will be bringing her brilliant "A" game to the podium.
Trump has never debated a female in a one on one situation. He is easily flustered and so easily slips back into bully mode.
She just doesn't appear to be someone who is easily flustered or intimidated.

(25,225 posts)there is no way he can remain 'presidential' for 90 minutes. This debate should be as entertaining as "Whose Line Is It Anyway".

(19,948 posts)Stupid. The question is whether Holt will press him for more detail, or just let him off, in which case Hillary has to challenge Trump but can't appear too much like a "schoolmarm".

(46,037 posts)Trump made (another) hasty decision based on the assumption Gennifer Flowers had not aged a day since 1992 and still had the bimbo appearance that he finds attractive. Someone showed him a recent representation of her and he changed his mind as her appearance at the debate would not have the desired affect on Hillary, and more importantly, the media (which would be finding excuses to pan its cameras on her in the front row).
DISCLAIMER: I am a feminist and believe women shouldn't be judged on their age, weight, and/or appearance. I'm speculating based on how Trump thinks.

(34,845 posts)The GOP knows they're being played by Trump. They know they've already lost the election. They know that all their money is going down the drain.
Yet they can't quite bring themselves to say it out loud. Even Lindsey Graham won't say what Trump is doing -stealing their money to line his own pockets. Graham's remarks are relegated to talking about policy positions. I guess that's a safer position to take than confronting the abuser directly.

(31,507 posts)He looked petty and vindictive for tweeting the invitation in the first place, and now he looks gutless and scared if he rescinds the invitation. It seems his surrogates are scrambling to cover his ass on this one.
This move just adds weight to the claim that he is temperamentally unfit to hold office.

(53,947 posts)Mark Cuban has been out there saying some pretty tough stuff about my running mate [He] knows about as much about national security as I do about professional basketball.
I am dumb about basketball, therefor Cuban must be dumb about politics. Cuban is conservative, but he's got a bright inquisitive mind and a functioning super-ego. I'd take him over Trump any day of the week.

(6,973 posts)I don't think her being @ the debate would have thrown Hillary off her game anyway. At this stage of their lives, and from what I feel both Bill/Hillary have moved on and have been focusing on things much more important in their lives than what happened in their marriage decades ago. At least I'd LIKE to think that is the case!
