This is the same guy that blocked an African-American GOP official supporter from attending a Trump rally back in June.

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump’s Georgia campaign will be run by Brandon Phillips, a consultant with extensive ties to the state GOP establishment.

Phillips replaces Seth Weathers, who was known for running insurgent campaigns and parted ways with Trump after less than two months. Phillips is a former executive director of the Fulton County Republican Party and was Mitt Romney’s state director in Georgia in 2008 — the year Romney was trying to run to John McCain’s right and both of them were beaten in Georgia by Mike Huckabee.

Last year Phillips, a southwest Georgia native, worked on the congressional campaign of Mike Collins, the trucking company executive who was the establishment-tied choice in a losing GOP runoff effort against now-Rep. Jody Hice.

You'd think someone with "extensive ties to the state GOP establishment" would have been well known for a conviction like that. That someone had said "fuck it, who'll find out?"

Since then, Brandon has worked on numerous campaigns at all levels including several legislative races for both State House and Senate, Congress, U.S. Senate, Judicial and a half dozen campaigns for statewide office. During the 2008 Presidential Primary, Brandon served as State Director for Governor Mitt Romney. After that, he served as a General Consultant with Georgia-based Southland Strategies advising multiple campaigns through primary and general elections.

Brandon also understands the party process, serving as an Executive Director for the Republican Party in Atlanta where during his tenure membership reached an all-time high and previous fundraising records were shattered.

Having served two tours of duty under the Gold Dome in Atlanta, Brandon worked in the State Senate for both the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee and the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee where he gained valuable insight into the legislative process.
