Related: About this forum15 mins after @maddow broke news of my #TrumpinCuba story, Trump sicced lawyer on @Newsweek.
Last edited Thu Sep 29, 2016, 12:49 PM - Edit history (1)
Trump ignored my calls on #TrumpInCuba. After it broke, sicced his lawyer on us, saying no docs in company on it. They searched wrong compny
Wow, can @RogerJStoneJr spin a story. Ok, guess Illl have to unload info from his emails and other docs to show he's deceiving @Politico.
When Trump's lawyer threatened us on #TrumpInCuba, saying docs didnt exist, @Newsweek offered to post em all online.
@CNN has GOT 2 stop @CLewandowski_ from lying bout me and my Trump stories. Re: #TrumpInCuba, he said no facts. I quote company documents.
If @CNN keeps allowing @CLewandowski_ to lie bout my stories or me w/o having me there 2 challenge him, I wont appear on the network anymore
.@jdelreal Clearly @KellyannePolls doesn't understand the trade embargo law. She just unknowingly confessed that Trump broke it.
Folks falling 4 @CLewandowski_ lie that #TrumpInCuba story is all anonymous sources: It's 90% internal Trump company docs, which I quote.
Also in #TrumpInCuba: Trumps strategy plan & bills 4 effort 2 buy off Jeb Bush, which Trump told GOP never happened.
Amazing. @KellyannePolls goes on TV to defend Trump's dealing in Cuba, doesn't read the law, and unknowingly confesses he committed a crime.

some fine credentials that its..
jberryhill
(62,444 posts)No, they don't think that either.
You know, I work as an attorney, and sometimes I work in association with other fine attorneys. I verify facts for myself before simply going with what someone - even someone I trust - tells me. People make errors or sometimes get things wrong for all kinds of perfectly fine reasons. In a lot of instances, when I'm writing a brief, I don't simply go by MY OWN file notes, but check the original documents because sometimes I write things down wrong.
When you are running a company with billions on the line, you check the facts yourself.
Was Dan Rather simply off the rails for accepting the Texas Air National Guard memo? No, but CBS did not vet that information before going with it.

(841 posts)In this election CNN are giving Trump extreme exposure even when he lying his teeth out. Like this one
Trump, without evidence, claims he 'saved' Miss Universe's job
http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/29/politics/donald-trump-miss-australia-machado/index.html
"
Donald Trump is claiming he saved the job of a former Miss Universe winner as another pageant contestant came forward to charge the Republican presidential candidate had made derogatory comments about her appearance.
Trump launched a new defense of himself Wednesday against attacks that he was verbally abusive to Alicia Machado, the Miss Universe who had charged he called her "Miss Piggy" and "Miss Housekeeping."
Trump, who owned the pageant at the time.."
---
But CNN cannot publish a Trump story from an esteemed journalist
GOP points on #TrumpInCuba. Clinton campaign had nothing 2 do w/ story. Spending $ to explore biz opportunities in Cuba is a crime.

I know it is hard for you to believe this, but a lot of organizations don't just run with an advertisement for people to go read a competitor's publication, and they check stuff out with their lawyers and other sources before they simply echo things.

Chris also stated that after the letter was sent by John Berryhill to the Trump Organization, that was essentially it, never heard from them again and the same page has been up on Trump.org since then.

(2,056 posts)Trump is leading over Clinton with Cuban Americans in Florida 35% to 31%. I think it's roughly 72% of the registered republicans in Miami/Dade area are Cuban Americans. His support was already weak and now he's been not only exposed as a liar and law breaker...but he put money in Castro's pocket. This is the same Castro that Cuban Americans blame for the hardships of their relatives back in Cuba and the reason they can't go home to visit.
Stick a fork in the cheeto...he is done. No way he can win Florida now.

(841 posts)I think the issue is that people who escaped Cuba and moved here will have a hard time supporting a candidate who broke the embargo. Castro committed some pretty serious human rights violations and someone who was looking to wheel and deal with him and line up a chance at making a profit won't look so good to the traditionally Republican-leaning Cuban voters in FL

(9,111 posts)actually more true about him, far more applicable to him. And he knows it deep down inside. "Crooked crazy stupid lyin loser fat ugly slob rapist weak failure", they all apply to him, and he somehow feels fully justified in using them to describe others.
It's funny how he never calls any of his enemies bald, though. It would probably take a PhD in Psychology to figure that one out.

The hypocrisy with him and his campaign is mind boggling.

(3,990 posts)He does business with Cuba, then admonishes anyone who would do such a thing. Every name he has called Hillary more aptly describes himself. Attacking his opponents by projecting his own weakness onto them.
Mc Mike
(9,111 posts)then Raygun and Poppy armed Iran, dRumpf just wanted to have a monopoly on business dealings with Cuba. Keeps the competition out of that business field.
And the repugs think that if they hurry up and accuse their enemies of crimes that the repugs themselves have been caught committing, then that will defuse the ability of their political opponents to say the repugs are guilty of those crimes. Because after the repug has leveled the charge against their opponent, the opponent leveling it back at the repug makes it seem like "I know you are, but what am I" or "I'm rubber and you're glue" is being said.

The biggest mistake people make is to think that Trump is any kind of populist at all. His campaign is a money maker for him - win or lose he gets richer. In the end he's just another 1%er born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
