Trump is bizarre in so many ways that it's difficult to keep track.

At the first debate near the end he said: "I was going to say something extremely rough to Hillary, to her family, and I said to myself I can't do it, I just can't do it. It's inappropriate. It's not nice."

OK, so then Trump and his surrogates praise him and give him credit for "restraint" because he didn't saying something that Trump himself described as inappropriate!!??

So this is the level that the race for the presidency of the United States has descended to?

"Mommy, I was going to pick my nose but I remembered that you said that picking your nose is inappropriate and not nice, so I didn't do it."

"O my, Donald, what a good boy you are!"

it's like saying "i'm not going to say the word 'shit' because it's a bad word. you might get offended if i say 'shit'. but I've got great restraint. tremendous restraint. more restraint than probably anyone in the world. that's why i'm not going to say the word 'shit'."


he can't say he showed restraint, he can't say he didn't mention it. best he can say is that he didn't *explicitly* say it, he merely made an obvious allusion to it.
