I'm getting SO tired of the simplistic "things need to change" crap

Because yes, they do but that avoids the huge issue of change for the better or worse.

Things are changing, though slowly. Do you really want to make the change back to what got us in the base economic problems? Or do you want to continue the too slow change to getting better?

I guess too many want simple slogans vs thought. It's frustrating and I hope Donnie continues his vile public.

"We need change" but not too make things worse. I am tired and will be glad to not hear Donnie again.

2. I don't want change, I want growth.

We are growing in the right direction. Maybe we can accelerate it and tie up some lose ends, fix some things along the way, but blowing up the system doesn't seem reasonable.

6. Growth is not infinite

it has to be sustainable. and the planet is having a hard time with that - we're starting to bump up against the carrying capacity of the earth.

3. Oh, yes . Arm-chair rioters smash indiscriminately

at some undefined "the estabhsment" much the same as hoodlums on the street smash businesses they need in their own neighborhoods simply because they're there. For many, Trump's largely a fat orange rock.

Whenever I hear people talking about "change" and "the establishment" instead of specific changes and specific names, I know they're indulgently irresponsible and ignorant fools.

4. what needs to change is the GOP's obstruction

what Dump voters think is "Change" is 100% Republican control of the government - with 60 votes in the Senate.

7. What drives me nuts is people need to be made "enthusiastic" to go vote

Have we really become so apathetic that we can't simply look at a situation and determine that it's important enough to go vote? Are we all that blah and unconcerned that we "need" to be made excited and enthusiastic? I hate that and the constant analysis of demographic enthusiasm. I can't tell you how many elections I've voted in and very few have I been excited and enthusiastic about the candidate. I'd say I'm driven to vote more out of dread and fear than because a candidate makes me excited. I could care less if they are as boring as a post - if the candidate mostly aligns with my views, I'll go vote for them. Especially if the alternative is something Trump like, I'll go out and vote.

9. Great post.

I remember turning 21 and becoming eligible to vote (this was back in the Dark Ages when the age was still 21) and couldn't wait to go downtown to the Federal building in Chicago to register. And I've voted ever since.

12. Yes.

It is frustrating that we constantly have to prod and beg Democrats to go vote. No Democrat should be sitting out any election and this one in particular. Even when HRC is in the White House, unless we control the Senate and make gains in the House it will be more obstruction for the next 4 years.

8. The last knee-jerk, instant change the USA had were bushes 9-11 terror laws. instant changes suck.

Like Obama always says, USA is like an Ocean liner. A small change in course adds up over time.

10. THINGS NEED TO CHANGE: Democrats Need to Vote in Elections other Than Deneral Elections

we sit out off year elections and allow Republicans to stop any momentum for real change

11. REGARDING CHANGE

Don't you guy's find it amazing not a single tv reporter or pundit has even hinted that the
term change may mean having the first woman president in American history? I don't
buy for a second what the media feeds us daily. They lie all the time to get ratings
for the network they work for and to get more popular on their twitter accounts. Its shameful
how they promote themselves like whores.

13. Not sure how well your argument works with climate change.

I'd argue radical change is going to be forced upon us, one way or another. Climate deniers don't think so, but the vast majority of climatologists world-wide say radical change is needed now to avert a major environmental collapse.
