Two reasons why I'm looking forward to taking a long break from MSNBC come Nov 9

1. Yesterday at the Libertarian's Town Hall, Chris Matthews asked Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson, the following regarding the Nuclear Codes, "If the Generals told you that you had 10 minutes to launch would you? He then said before Johnson could answer, "Are you a Dove or a Hawk? You know Hillary's a Hawk. Do you think that she would launch? You bet she would, cause she's a Hawk." Chris rambled all that off before allowing Johnson to say anything.

I don't think Johnson ever answered the 10 minute question, but eluded to Mathews comment that he was more likely a Dove and wasn't going to start any wars. (The original question however, was that the General had told you that you had 10 minutes to decide whether to launch which means that you are not the aggressor. An attack has been launched at you.)

In my opinion, if the Generals told Hillary that she had 10 minutes, it means that the Soviets have launched and she damn well better launch. By all estimates I've ever heard, the President usually only has 6 minutes once they have notification of a launch, so you're damn tooting that I want a Hawk at that moment rather than a pot smoking Libertarian, who half the time doesn't even know where he is. If Hillary is a Hawk, the time to be Hawkish is then.

2. This morning on Morning Joe, Retired Gen. Michael Hayden was on the show. So right out of the box, Scarborough asks the General in relation to the situation in Syria and the bombings and killing of civilians and innocent people. "Can you think of any time when we, the world, has stood by like this and watched while thousands and hundreds of thousands of people are being killed?" Obviously, his question was meant to direct the conversation towards blaming President Obama's Syrian policies for the killings. The General surprised Joe with his response. "Yes. In my professional lifetime, I've seen this at least 4 times. In Bosnia. In Croatia. In the dissolution of Yugoslavia and the Genocide in Rwanda". (Shut you up didn't it Joe.)

The retired General then commented that Hillary wants to establish a no-fly zone. He stated you don't establish a no-fly zone unless you include an Or-Else with it. (I definitely think this was directed at Obama's "Line drawn in the sand".) He does think Hillary to be more decisive and understands the need for the Or-Else. Also thinks that she has pretty sound judgement.

MSNBC is supposed to be the liberal channel but we have just as many conservative regulars and the conservatives spokespersons like Kellyanne Conway, with her fast talking all lies all the time. We have the obligatory Trump surrogates, and the Chuck Todds, Mark Halprins, and Chris Matthews lately has been anything but progressive such that I find myself yelling at my TV and my blood pressure rising. I might as well be watching the Fox News Channel. Nov 9 can't come fast enough.

They torpedoed that idea when they completely redid their lineup last year.

MSNBC tried to get more rating by becoming fox news lite. After this election, MSNBC's ratings are going to plummet to nearly nothing. Those remaining liberals that still watch are likely to stop watching and the conservative fox news watchers have been told for over a decade that MSNBC was the far left propaganda channel so they aren't going to start watching.

MSNBC has been out of existence when they got rid of Phil Donahue years ago when he said the Iraq war would end in a mess, if not in a tragedy. HE was proven correct. PLUS, they've gotten rid of their more "liberal" even-handed hosts since Comcast took over in about 2012. Of course Ed Schultz is now with RT and is towing the Putin line and bashing Hillary, but when he was on MSNBCRNCTMZ, he was pro-union, pro-Pres Obama. But now Ed is pro Putin/anti-Hillary. Hey, he has to get his bills paid and keep his private plane filled with fuel right, and what better way than go over to RT and keep your bank account fat? Ed used to be a Rethug (Until his wife Wendy changed his mind and took him to a soup kitchen I hear), and now he's seemingly going back to his roots.

"Elude" means to evade capture. "Allude" means to suggest or call attention to something. Otherwise, I agree with everything you said.

And yes, I know they're all clearly homophones, not homonyms. I just love those 30 Rock clips.
