(121,904 posts)Pence won't have a good debate - he's as dumb as a sack of hammers - and Trump won't drop out because he thinks he's winning.

(50,986 posts)I don't think so, and quite a few pollsters don't think so, and several longtime observers of U.S. politics don't think so, but Trump seems to operate without input from any source. He just kind of wings it, which is pretty much what he seemed to do in his debate with HRC.
Pence would love Trump's quitting. Pence has a massive ego and an extremely rightwing agenda. He would love to have a spotlight turned on him for any reason.
But Trump's ego isn't going to allow any consideration of loss. He thinks he's going to win.

(15,512 posts)are even in the same ballpark as those of Tim Kaine. Pence IS getting "help" from Scott Walker. http://953mnc.com/2016/09/28/mike-pence-practicing-debate-skills-wisconsin-gov-scott-walker/
IMO, Kaine will shine; Pence is a RW social conservative who doesn't pivot well verbally. He needs a script and canned TPs. Like Hillary (and most Dems for that matter), Kaine can think on his feet.
But whatever happens in the VP debate, Trump will NOT drop out.

I'm sure that Kaine will do a fine job. Pence is likely to be "deer-in-the-headlights," especially with any follow-up questions for which he hasn't practiced a canned response.
