My husband was accosted and berated by a Trump supporter at a middle school football game.

"How can your wear that button with that shirt?"

My husband was wearing a Hillary button and an FDNY hoodie.

My husband explained to her that he is an FDNY World Trade Center survivor who Hillay worked hard to help. My husband has medical monitoring, low cost life-prolonging medication, and ongoing treatment at one of the best hospitals in NY due to Hillary's efforts to cover first responders who were not eligible for the programs already in place due to the unusual nature if their illnesses.

Her response? "You obviously did not see the Benghazi movie."

My husband laughed and said, "if you liked that movie, you really should watch 'Triumph of the Will'. It's right up your alley."

I think I stole this from Charles Pierce:

&quot Republicans now have) a candidate whose entire appeal is assuring a substantial portion of the American electorate that the voices in their fillings are the smartest people in the room."

From birthers, to death panels, to Jade Helm, to Agenda 21, to Chem-trails, to sequestration, to dire prognostications of God's wrath for one damned thing or another, and to the always popular - BENGHAZI!!!! This is the Reich-wing's one true constant: an endless whiiiiiiiining indignation over imaginary slights. As someone else put it, "It is the Bitcoin of American Conservatism."

They have chosen to nurture hatred in their minds. They don't know that hatred is a bad habit. They are not mindful that their thoughts and emotions have no independent, solid existence. Can't put thoughts and emotions on a scale and weigh them. They are unaware of how to control their minds. Unaware that they have the power and could think DIFFERENT thoughts. So they are stuck with being filled with negative emotions and blinded by hateful thoughts. They are not happy people. They cannot grasp reality.

when Hillary was making her first senate run in 2000. The UFA (FDNY union) pretty much always endorsed the Democratic candidate. For some reason, they didn't like Hillary and decided not to endorse anyone.

My husband fought hard for a Hillary endorsement, and when it was clear that it wasn't forthcoming, he said, "You guys don't like her just because you know she's smarter than you." Not a single delegate refuted his claim.

Unfortunately I'm dependent upon my brother so I have very little chance of getting away from him. He was stationed in West Germany in the Army when the Berlin Wall fell, then he was sent to fight in Iraq. He watches way too many shows about the Nazis and WWII and adds in InfoWars. Since I lived in Austin where Alex Jones tapes his InfoWars show I've known that Jones was a wacko nut job for years before he ever made it big on the national dialogue.

My sister is looking after my cat since my mental health issues manifested a couple years ago. Although I'm the one that certified with mental health problems it seems like I'm more balanced than those two siblings.

Sure, they also believe that Benghazi movie is true because its a documentary based on actual events. Everyone knows they can't put that stuff on the TV if it wasn't real... there are laws or something. Opinions are also accepted as real news. Political commentators are trusted unbiased journalists, at least the ones they watch on Faux news. Blog posters and forum rants say it exactly they way they would... if they only knew the right words to express themselves.

I replied "Triumph or the Will" then, is there a book or movie? Went right over his head, but others got it.

In Mein Kampf,[3] Hitler talks of the success of British propaganda in World War I, believing people's ignorance meant simple repetition and an appeal to feelings over reason would suffice.[4] Hitler chose Riefenstahl as he wanted the film as "artistically satisfying"[5] as possible to appeal to a non-political audience, but he also believed that propaganda must admit no element of doubt.[3] As such, Triumph of the Will may be seen as a continuation of the unambiguous World War I-style propaganda, though heightened by the film's artistic or poetic nature.

The reason she isn't in jail, is because after being investigated by a republican house and a republican headed FBI numerous times, They couldn't get any evidence to indict her. But if you want to put your political opponents in jail, go move to North Korea, because that's the kind of government you want for America, and I'll be more than happy to buy you your plane ticket there.
